Each of our wines is a mosaic of colors, structures, and shapes—as unique, multifaceted, and colorful as its flavor. We live our passion, celebrating our connection to nature and the joy of life. And we’ve been doing this for four generations now, together with our father, Bernhard. We, Niklas (27 years old, winemaker) and Malenka (32 years old, oenologist), work hand in hand every day and harmonize not only as siblings but also as working partners. Following the motto that a good wine is created above all when you put a lot of love into it, we create our fun-to-drink wines that are just as good as we are.

Whether virtual as an online tasting or at our winery – book a wine tasting with us and we will take you on a ride into the world of taste. We will present you our wines, tell you a lot about the region and about our everyday life as winegrowers. Furthermore we will explain our philosophy and motivation for our work.

Our wine tastings are suitable for every occasion, as a birthday present, for a date with friends, as a teambuilding day or for a nice evening.

This time Malenka is a guest at the KRÄMEREI store in Mainz’s old town.
The motto of the wine tasting is: NEWS FROM THE WINE WORLD
She tells us something about the PIWI grape varieties (fungus-resistant), natural wines and their creation as well as vegan wines. Of course, different wines will be tasted, from Stenner and other winemakers. Also find out a lot about new trends in wine and what’s going on in the wine world.

wine hike of Mainzer Winzer

The Mainz Winegrowers’ Panoramic Hike through the Ebersheim vineyards. Discover a wonderful vineyard trail with fantastic views on a circular route of approximately 2.5 km. Take a short break at the six wine stations along the route and sample delicious Mainz wines.

The ticket price of €24 (plus advance booking fee) includes a six-wine tasting (0.1 l each), a glass of wine, and mineral water at the stations. The circular route is signposted. No food will be available on site – small snacks are welcome. The starting point (between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.) at Station 1 is at the vineyard cottage next to the Joachims-Kreuz cross in Mainz-Ebersheim. The “Neugasse” public transport stop is approximately a 15-minute walk away.

The start time must be adhered to. If ticket holders do not arrive at the start by 2 p.m., the ticket will become invalid.

Welcome to the family.

We launched Rainers Riesling in 2018 together with a good friend of us.

Rainer is lively, a happy guy and always funny. And because Rainer doesn’t like to drink alone either, he invites you to enjoy a glass or two with friends. That’s why he got his elegant & fruity wife Ritas Rosé at his side in 2019, so that they can now appear happily as a couple. In winter, high-percentage support came from the creamy Norbert Nut and the berry Heidi Raspberry. Let’s see how the specially created family will grow.

Ordentlich in Schorle werfen

A bird never flew on one wing. We have taken this old wisdom to heart and have teamed up with the idea manufacturers from pinke distel. The result was a great character and an amazing body – fruity, crisp with sparkle. Wonderfully refreshing – that’s our collective spritzer from Mainz! Love at first sip!
There is now a colorful trio, white & rosé wine spritzer and a grape juice spritzer. Open and enjoy!

twin wineries - partnership with another winery in Haifa

Since October 2017, the Vortman winery and we have been members of the “Twin Wineries” initiative, which promotes international exchange and international understanding on a wine basis. The twinning builds on the city partnership Mainz – Haifa, which has existed since 1987.
Now the time has finally come, Malenka and Hai Vortman have exchanged wines that have come a long way. So from 2021 you can buy two wines from Haifa, Fumé Blanc and Carignan, at our wineshop. Both winegrowers are in regular contact, exchange information about current work in the vineyard and share experiences and philosophize about wine. The idea behind this cooperation is that friendships are made, mutual support is given and wine culture is promoted.

Today is for friends, good food, dreaming and wine

Happy mulled wine is the wonderful result of our great cooperation with the Kollektiv Mainz and our beloved design agency Alma. We wanted to create an urban mulled wine for the winter days, which looks special and is a perfect gift. According to the motto “Today is for friends, good food, dreaming and wine” we created a mulled wine for socializing during the gray winter days.
